The focus of this session is to get beautiful naturally lit photos of your newborn as well as the family spending quality time together. These sessions are great when you have older siblings! I like to capture the baby with the family in a lifestyle setting (snuggled on the bed, in the nursery/crib, in your arms etc.). It’s best to schedule these sessions for the first 2 weeks you’re home from the hospital. The session includes unlimited photos taken and creates around 75+ beautifully edited images which are turned over via online gallery and digital download. Your gallery is usually ready within 2 weeks.

You’re finally ready to get on the books! After we’ve talked about what session you’re interested in and location I will send you a booking link where you will sign the contract, pay the invoice and pick your date!

After your session, I'll get to editing and send you your gallery via email once it's ready! Typically your images are ready within 2-3 weeks. With the online gallery system, you'll be able to view, save, share and order your prints.

Lifestyle newborn sessions are the opposite of posey studio sessions. Think prompts- not posed! The focus of this session is to get beautiful naturally lit photos of your newborn as well as the family spending quality time together. These sessions are great when you have older siblings! I like to capture your new baby with the family in a lifestyle setting (snuggled on the bed, in the nursery/crib, in your arms etc.). We can also do portraits outside of your home if you’d like. We will also focus on capturing the little details of your new baby like their tiny feet, hands and hopefully a few sweet smiles!
When choosing colors for your outfits, I recommend selecting lighter tones and more muted shades. By avoiding ultra-bright, bold colors and patterns, it will help bring all the attention to your faces and let the eye focus on the way you feel about each other. The camera loves shades of soft pink and muted blues, mixed with sophisticated light neutrals like heather gray, creams, leather brown and white. That softer color palette fits beautifully into almost all natural outdoor environments, and especially complements the beach.
After our session I will pick the best of the best images and edit each image by hand. The editing that each image receives will vary, but typically includes exposure and color correction, contrast, color shifts and cropping. Advanced photo editing, defined as blemish removal, object removal, arm thinning and more is not included but can be requested for an extra fee.
Maybe you feel like your home isn’t the best for our photo session- I have recommendations for studio spaces we can rent that are perfect for lifestyle newborn sessions, boudoir and branding!
A 1 hour session typically turns over around 75+ images. Minis typically turn over around 30+. There are no hidden fees or charges. Your session fee is the one time fee for all of your images.
Within your gallery you’ll be able to print your photos through my favorite professional printing studio. I recommend printing your images here for the highest quality prints.
Golden hour is the ideal time of day for photography. Golden hour is the first hour of light after sunrise and the last hour of light before sunset. In the Summer this can be around 5-6am and 7-8pm, and in the winter around 6-7am and 4-5pm. When scheduling your session keep in mind we want the most idea lighting possible! In home lifestyle sessions can be scheduled at any time of day although I recommend picking a time when the kiddos are usually the happiest!
Once booked I will send you my list of location suggestions. I also encourage you to brainstorm unique locations that you might have special access to that most people don’t!
Your photos will be ready within 1-3 weeks.
